AVAYA UNIFIED COMMUNICATION SOLUTIONS

Avaya Messaging and Unified Communication solutions expand the value of enterprise messaging through new capabilities that enable businesses to improve responsiveness to customers and associates, and lower total cost of ownership of messaging systems.

Overview

Avaya Messaging and Unified Communication solutions enables quick and effective communication and collaboration across the enterprise. New mobility and desktop applications improve levels of responsiveness, in turn helping to accelerate transactions and revenue generation opportunities. Enhanced messaging capabilities, such as Speech Access, give mobile employees hands-free access to desktop tools (e.g. Microsoft Outlook) and communications (e.g. dialing, conferencing) through simple and intuitive speech commands.

Avaya concurs with the consensus of many industry analysts who suggest that Unified Communications is not an all-in-one solution from a single vendor. Avaya offers customers robust interfaces to our market leading communication servers in IP Telephony, Messaging, and Conferencing. Avaya is committed to supporting standards and integrates its solutions to add value to third-party solutions from Microsoft, IBM, and others. While some communication vendors may also offer base level integrations, Avaya extends its customer demanded features into these environments.

Avaya Messaging and Unified Communication Solutions

Modular Messaging

Modular Messaging is an IP- and standards-based voice and fax messaging platform designed for single- or multi-site global enterprises. It provides a highly scalable platform that seamlessly integrates with existing Avaya Octel® 250/350, Octel 200/300 and IntuityT AUDIX® systems without any changes to current voice and data infrastructures. Voice and fax messages can be stored in the platform of choice - an Avaya message store, Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino.

Message Networking

Message Networking links stand-alone, multi-vendor messaging systems throughout an organization into one company-wide messaging network, providing networking capabilities for Avaya Messaging products, such as the Avaya Modular Messaging system, the embedded base of Avaya Octel® and INTUITYT AUDIX® messaging products, as well as non-Avaya messaging systems.
