DACON APPOINTS CENTRAL TELECOM AS RESELLER FOR EXTENDER RANGE OF REMOTE ACCESS POINTS
Appointment strengthens channel for leading remote networking products
19th July 2001: Specialist distributor Dacon has appointed Central Telecom, one of the UK's leading providers of integrated communications solutions, as suppliers of the MCK EXTender range of remote access and networking products.
Central Telecom, based in Burton-on-Trent, adds the EXTender range to its extensive solutions offering, which includes voice, converged voice, data and messaging network services, and cabling and support services.
The MCK EXTender range includes the 3000, 6000 and 4000 products, which deliver the features of a company's corporate PBX to remote small or branch offices over the existing ISDN or IP data networks between sites. Extender 3000 is a single box solution that enables voice calls to be seamlessly transported to the remote worker, and EXTender 6000 is aimed at larger branch offices. EXTender 4000 is a compact IP-based device that works over any managed IP network.
The range also includes the PBXgateway II, a remote voice platform that will support virtually every emerging technology, including standards-based IP protocols. It serves as the remote voice platform for branch offices, telecommuters and remote workers, supporting the EXTender 6000, 4000, 3000 and the new Mobile EXTender, which extends PBX dial-tone and features to any cellular or remote touch-tone phone.
