A CAPITAL MOVE FOR CENTRAL TELECOM

Telecommunications specialists Central Telecom have strengthened their position as market leaders with the official opening of a new office in the City of London.

The company's arrival in the Capital reinforces its position as one of the UK's foremost independent suppliers of integrated communications systems and places it in the heart of the Square Mile.

The new base, on Cannon Street in the City, will complement the company's other satellite offices in Burton-on-Trent, Manchester and Guildford and will enable it to provide an enhanced level of service to the rapidly converging financial services sector, which has seen the consolidation of the traditionally independent businesses of retail banking and brokerage, institutional finance and insurance.

The new office will offer a full range of installations, from the straightforward PBX requirements of SMEs, to the more complex solutions required by blue-chip and public sector organisations, incorporating converged solutions, contact centres, virtual private networks, CTI solutions and IP Technologies.

The company has recently worked with stockbrokers, Collins Stewart, installing a complete Definity-based communications system to run along side their existing technology.

Andrew McDougall, Managing Director of Central Telecom, explained the reasons behind the launch of the new London office:
