CENTRAL TELECOM ACHIEVES IP/TELEPHONY SPECIALIZATION FROM CISCO SYSTEMS


East Midlands-based Central Telecom, specialists in the supply of integrated communications solutions, have been awarded the IP/Telephony Specialisation from Cisco Systems Inc, the world leader in networking.

Central Telecom received the Specialisation in recognition of its ability to plan, design, implement and support Cisco IP and Telephony solutions.

In order to achieve accreditation Central Telecom was required to meet a number of specific resource requirements and to demonstrate that they are qualified to support IP and Telephony solutions in the UK.

"The Cisco Channel Specialisations are designed to help channel partners develop a technology specific expertise and enable them to differentiate themselves in what is a fiercely competitive marketplace," commented Paul Salmon, Director of Technical Operations, EMEA Channels at Cisco Systems Inc.

"Achieving our IP andTelephony Specialisation gives our channel partners increased credibility and demonstrates their proven expertise in the implementation of Cisco IP/Telephony solutions," continued Paul.

Cisco Specialisations require channel partners to fill a number of key job roles with those individuals who have met specific testing requirements.

This includes an account manager responsible for the sales and customer engagement processes, a sales engineer responsible for the network planning and design and a field engineer responsible for the implementation and support of the specified Cisco solution.
