CENTRAL TELECOM LANDS TWO MORE INDUSTRY ACCOLADES

Burton-on-Trent-based Central Telecom has reinforced its reputation as one of the UK's leading suppliers of telecommunications solutions after receiving two major awards from one of its key business partners.

The company, which was recently listed in the prestigious Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 50 Awards, has added to its growing list of industry accolades after being awarded the titles of Biggest Growth in Revenue and Best Business Sale of the Year by Colt Telecom, one of the leading alternative network providers.

Central Telecom's Managing Director Andrew McDougall was presented with the awards at Colt's dealer conference, which took place at the Pendley Manor Hotel in Tring recently.

Central Telecom is one of only 12 premier CNC's in the country and beat off fierce competition from its rivals to win the awards. It scooped the Best Business of the Year title for a high revenue, complex billing solution with close on 400 sites, successfully bidding against Cable & Wireless, Energis and Opal to win the contract.

It received the second award following another tremendous period of growth. Over the past twelve months turnover and profitability have again exceeded all predictions in the face of severe market competition and a constantly evolving market place.

"Winning the two awards from Colt is a tremendous accolade for the company and underlines our reputation as one of the industry leaders," commented Andrew McDougall.

"Under current market conditions, Central Telecom has not only managed to sustain its current level of growth, it has increased it significantly. We have achieved this by providing our customers, who range from SMEs to Blue Chip companies and public sector organisations, with independent advice on both fixed and mobile solutions, backed by our commitment to quality standards and customer care."

"Our broad base of capabilities, coupled with our considerable experience enables us to devise complex voice and data solutions for both small to medium enterprises and global corporations alike," added Andrew.

The latest accolade for Central Telecom follows hot on the heels of a number of other major awards. The company, which also operates satellite offices in Guildford and Manchester, is accredited by all of the communications industry's major names and counts the titles of Avaya Gold Strategic Alliance Partner, BT Premier Partner, Cisco Premier Partner; Korus Platinum Partner amongst its growing list of credits.

It was voted Dealer of the Year for the fifth consecutive year by Network Finance and has recently been voted the number one reseller in the UK by world leader Siemens.
