SIR TERRY MATTHEWS TO ATTEND NHS TECHNOLOGY FORUM


Leading telecommunications specialists Central Telecom are staging a special NHS Technology Forum in Newport on Wednesday 19 March to demonstrate exciting new developments in IP Technology to prospects from within the health service.

The company, which has a proven track record in developing integrated solutions for the NHS, is staging the event from 9.30am - 2.00pm at the exclusive Celtic Manor Resort Hotel in Newport. Sir Terry Matthews, entrepreneur and head of Mitel, one of Central Telecom's partners will be making a special appearance during the day.

This free event will include presentations from Central Telecom, Mitel and Wandsworth, together with live demonstrations of the new Tele-Call 'Beside the Bed' hospital solution, which is at the forefront of government reforms of the NHS.

This will be followed by a Question and Answer Session, before concluding with lunch.

The Tele-call system, which has been developed by Central Telecom in association with Wandsworth and Mitel, is designed to improve the patient care experience by providing access to Patient Power, a fully integrated, digital IP patient entertainment and information service.

The Tele-Call bedside console integrates with third party applications to deliver voice, voicemail, high-speed internet access, films and games to the patient. It also allows hospital staff to access electronic patient records, interactive menu ordering, bed management and discharge administration, which ensure the smooth running of the ward.
