CENTRAL TELECOM RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS FROM AVAYA


Communications specialists Central Telecom have capped another record-breaking year after being presented with two coveted accolades by Avaya, global leaders in communications systems, applications and services.

The company, whose headquarters is on Wetmore Road in Burton-on-Trent and has regional offices in London and Guildford, was presented with the titles of Business Partner of the Year and Most Complex Sales Award at the Avaya Business Partner Conference, which took place in Rome.

Central, one of only a handful of Avaya Platinum Partners in EMEA, was the only Avaya business partner in the UK, Ireland and South Africa to be presented with two awards at this year's event.

The title of Business Partner of the Year was a special award presented to the best performing Business Partner in the UK, Ireland and South Africa, based on business growth, revenue achievement and general sales and marketing performance.

Central has scored a number of notable wins this year. This includes a five year, £25 million contract to design and implement a new cutting edge voice network solution for The Capita Group PLC, the UK's leading provider of professional and support services.

In addition the company has signed a £1 million deal for with Cambridge County Council, which includes the installation of a 2,500 seat modular messaging installation and a £750,000 commission from Sunderland City Council for the first volume SIP deployment to displace a 2,500 user Cisco solution.

The Most Complex Sales Award was awarded to Central in recognition of the design, development and installation of the integrated communications solution for Sunderland County Council. The solution was deemed to be the most complex deal across the UK Ireland and South Africa in fulfilling the unique needs of the customer.

Chris Money, technical director at Central, was presented with the awards by Buddie Ceronie, Vice President and Managing Director of Avaya UK, Ireland and South Africa.
